We knew we wanted to move from Scarborough to
Newmarket but weren't sure of what we could get for our money. We were
also unsure of what neighbourhood best suited our family situation; we

Mike had his work cut out for
him in helping us find our "dream home" - not once, but twice.
Both times, he had very little to work with.
Basically, it was a case of "We'll
know it when we see it". It
was the truth, actually. We
are very busy people and without a lot of time to spend looking around at
model homes, etc., we really hadn't set our minds on something specific - even in terms of location. We
had him covering the whole the GTA until we could narrow our search.
Mike recognized that making house purchase was not only a huge
financial endeavour, but a very emotional one, too.
When I stood inside a house that seemed to have it all and said I
just couldn’t "see" my family there (for no reason that I could
articulate then or now), he just said "Okay, let's move on" and
